Short Bio
Dan Wang is a Professor of Division of Environment and Sustainability, Academy of Interdisciplinary Studies, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Hong Kong. His research interests include computing for sustainability and sustainable computing. He is an executive member of ACM SIGEnergy. He was the Steering Committee chair of ACM eEnergy, a General co-Chair of ACM eEnergy 2022, a TPC co-Chair of ACM eEnergy 2020, TPC co-Chair of ACM Buildsys 2024. He was the Steering Committee Chair of IEEE/IWQoS and a TPC co-Chair of IEEE/IWQoS 2020. He got his B. Sc from Peking University, Beijing, M. Sc from Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, OH, and Ph. D. from Simon Fraser University, Vancouver, Canada, all in Computer Science. He was a Professor in Department of Computing, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. His research has been widely adopted in industry. He is a Distinguished Scientist of the ACM.
